LOCATION
The apartment is situated on the South East Coast of Cyprus in the coastal village of Kapparis, between the inland town of Paralimni and the resort of Protaras. It is approximately 40 minutes easy driving from Larnaca airport.
BEACH
There are a number of sandy coves within walking distance (a few minutes by car or scooter), the nearest being Fireman's Cove. If you follow the Kapparis coast towards Protaras, you will discover plenty of other excellent beaches with golden sand and crystal clear waters. Fig Tree Bay at Protaras is renowned for having the best beaches on the island and is only a 5 minute drive away. A 10 minute drive takes you to the more lively Nissi Beach at Aiya Napa, with its beachfront bars and DJs.
SUPERMARKETS & SHOPS
There is a 24 hour bakery, located approx 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The bakery stocks a good range of essential provisions. This can be very useful, particularly if you are arriving in the early hours of the morning! As well as the usual mini supermarkets dotted around, you will find a large hypermarket and a pharmacy within a 2 minute drive.
RESTAURANTS & BARS
There is a wide range of tavernas and restaurants in the Kapparis and surrounding areas. The main street, Kennedy Avenue has plenty of excellent restaurants as well as bars catering for all tastes. Many have live entertainment, as well as the ubiquitous karaoke!
THINGS TO DO
As well as plenty of watersports on almost every beach, there is a host of activities from bungee jumping, diving and horse riding to boat trips and trekking in the Troodos Mountains. With its wealth of history, there are also many tours centred around the local Cypriot crafts, historical sites and ruins. You can also take a coach trip to one of the largest markets, in Larnaca.
